John Alan Lasseter is an American director, producer, screenwriter, animator, voice actor and director of animation at Skydance Animation. He was the Creative Director of Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disneytoon Studios, as well as the Senior Creative Advisor of Walt Disney Imagineering. Lasseter started his career as an animator with The Walt Disney Company. After being fired by Disney for promoting computer animation, he joined Lucasfilm, where he worked on the subsequent use of revolutionary CGI animation. Lucasfilm's computer graphics team was sold to Steve Jobs and became Pixar in 1986. Lasseter oversees all Pixar movies and related projects as executive producers. In addition, he has directed Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Cars and Cars 2. From 2006 to 2018, Lasseter also oversaw all Walt Disney Animation Studios films and related projects as executive producers.
